Braybrooke Parish Council Joins The North Northamptonshire Greenway Project
Braybrooke Parish Council is pleased to announce its participation in the North Northamptonshire Greenway, a strategic rural network designed to provide safer, traffic-free routes for walkers, cyclists, wheelers, and, where appropriate, equestrian users. The Greenway aims to connect settlements, employment hubs, and leisure and tourism destinations across North Northamptonshire and beyond.
The Greenway is an ambitious long-term project.
With routes being delivered over the next 10-30 years in collaboration with local communities and landowners. This initiative will improve connectivity, promote outdoor recreation, and contribute to sustainable travel options in the region.
Braybrooke Parish Council is excited to be part of this forward-thinking plan with the launch of the Griffin Trail on February 28th, 2025. This trail is a key feature of the Greenway and will connect the local area while highlighting the natural beauty of the region. The launch of the trail is in partnership with several stakeholders including North Northamptonshire Council, the Braybrooke Beer Co., a local brewery and landowner, reinforcing the strong community spirit driving this project. Please find the full list of partners below.
Residents and visitors alike are invited to explore the Greenway’s new routes, which promise to enhance quality of life, encourage healthier lifestyles, and provide safer and more enjoyable ways to travel across North Northamptonshire.
